Bible Interpreter is a Bible study app with Scripture, commentaries, listening (TTS), optional voice commands, and optional on-device AI study features. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the app.
The historical commentary works included in this application were authored by individuals whose underlying works are in the public domain. The English commentary was prepared with machine-translation assistance and subsequently underwent manual translation, correction, and editorial revision by Sinarhia ltd. The application operates independently and does not reproduce copyrighted modern English commentary translations from proprietary modern publications.
Bible Interpreter uses optional on-device technologies: Kokoro neural text-to-speech for Listen (speech is computer-generated, not human-recorded), Qwen models for optional AI study (prompts and answers processed on your device via llama.rn), and a Heed-compatible on-device wake-word model (with ONNX Runtime) for optional “Hey, Bible” detection. These features do not send your reading text, generated speech, study prompts, or wake-word audio to us or to Kokoro, Qwen, or Heed for processing. Voice commands may additionally use Apple speech recognition, which is governed by Apple’s policies. You can disable wake word / voice features and choose System voice instead of Neural reading voice in Settings.
The Kokoro TTS model, Qwen models, and Heed wake-word model used in the app are available under the Apache License 2.0.
